Cheryl loves to write everything that comes into her mind. Ideas can come from anywhere, on public transport, people watching anything really. She loves reading and enjoys a mixture of historical fiction and thrillers. Cheryl's favourite author is Joan Jonker, especially her Molly and Nellie series. Her books take the reader through a range of emotions making one laugh and cry at the same time.
Cheryl is also crazy about gerbils, she loves everything about these inquisitive, funny, mischievous and unpredictable little animals.
The ideas for her first novel came to her when she was bedbound with very severe ME. She would lay there creating different scenarios in her mind. It was only last year she became able to start work on it. Getting published was a dream come true. As a young child she would write stories in drawing books instead of pictures.
She has been unwell with ME since 1994 and it wasn't until 2013 that the long road back to health began.
