The end of NaNoWriMo

Well, NaNoWriMo finished and I successfully completed the 50,000 word challenge. As I’ve said before it was a murder mystery which I thoroughly enjoyed writing. I managed to stay ahead of the daily word target so finished a few days early.

What am I doing now? I hear you ask. Well, I’ve just published Evening Treats a collection of short stories. That’s so far available on Kindle but should be available in paperback shortly. I think short stories can be good because sometimes in a busy life people don’t have much time to read so it’s convenient to just quickly enjoy a short story or two.

I have other books to edit to get them ready for publication so that’s what I’m currently working on. Please consider buying my books for yourselves or as the perfect gift for a bookworm in your life.

I don’t know why but when I’m editing I end up nearly asleep and actually dozing off. So for me editing is a slow process but I get their in the end. I’m busy as I’ve got about 3-4 to work on.

I’ve nearly finished the creative writing distance learning course I’ve been working on. Just one more assignment to send off. I’ve really enjoyed the course. I’ve been looking at different things not just fiction but non fiction as well. Recently I had to send off the beginning of a novel with a detailed outline. My tutor got back to me saying it was excellent and would keep the reader wanting to know what happened next as I had built the suspense well. This was obviously a real encouragement to me that I am going in the right direction with my writing. I still love what I do. I love living in my imagination and creating characters and telling their story.
